≪SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 Participation Report≫
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is rolling out a wide range of measures to create a Smart Tokyo that provides citizens with a high quality of life by harnessing Tokyo’s potential through the power of digital technology.
As part of this effort, we joined SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024, an event held in the Tokyo Bay Area in April and May 2024 to gather technologies and ideas for confronting global challenges, and to create new sustainable value. We exhibited at the Showcase Program for experiencing the Tokyo of the future, a sustainable city fusing nature and convenience, as well as the Global Startup Program, one of Asia’s largest global innovation conferences, where participants encounter new startup ecosystems from Japan and abroad that are addressing global urban challenges.
Furthermore, the Smart City Tokyo Global Networking Night, a partner event, was held for the first time, which offered an opportunity for smart city professionals from around the world to gather and interact.
Through these efforts, we have widely promoted Smart Tokyo in Japan and abroad, while strengthening our network to promote the concept further.

Global Startup Program
The Global Startup Program for corporate and other business, one of Asia’s largest global innovation conferences, where participants encounter new startup ecosystems from Japan and abroad, was held at Tokyo Big Sight.
At the Smart Tokyo booth, we publicized the Smart Tokyo concept and built new relationships with professionals and stakeholders. This was made possible thanks to the collaboration with businesses in the urban center area, which is one of the model districts, and areas where public-private partnerships are promoting the smart city concept through projects that promote data sharing and utilization, as well as the businesses involved in the Be Smart Tokyo project to further the implementation of smart services. In addition, the Japan Pavilion Stage hosted presentations of examples of collaborations with startups.
